Powerful IF Function

One of the powerful functions in excel and the one the many people opens the door tomorrow as the user of this  software is the function “IF”.

I sometime referred this as a threshold function because it is very powerful and sometime looks like a programming 

The question is when ,why & where we use the function  “IF”.

The syntax for the If function is:

If( condition, value_if_true, value_if_false )

Example :

Management has decided to give increment to some people whose job rating is more than 4.

4 is pretty good ,5 is really good

If your job rating is 4 or 5  you can get an increment of 5000 Rs otherwise 0 Rs .
